Corporate Diversity Training
The scope of this project was to fulfill a RPF for a training as set out by a company. I was allowed to choose both the topic of the training as well as the intended audience.
The challenges within the phases of this project were varied. There were quicker time constraints on producing assets as well as the requirement to step out of the SME role and into a purely instructional design role.
The Training Needs Analysis outlines the plan for the creation of the first learning asset: the interactive infographic.
The screenshot below introduces the learner to the infographic and provides information on how they can interact with the PDF. They do this by hovering their mouse over the hands and fingernails to learn about diversity is defined in the modern workplace.

Here is a sample of the infographic.

The below image shows the linked assessment quiz from the infographic. This assessment is intended to measure the learning outcomes as proposed in the training needs analysis from knowledge gained from the infographic.

The below image shows the linked feedback survey from the infographic. This survey is intended to provide the training team with feedback on the asset in order to make improvements above and beyond the data they collect from the responses to the assessment.

The second asset created was a 2-minute instructional video that met learning outcomes as discussed in the Training Needs Analysis.
The video had a hard cap at two minutes in length. One additional challenge presented with the creation of this asset was to limit the information contained within the asset in order for the audience to have the time to absorb and retain the key points.
The final asset created was a presentation for a game assessment that met learning outcomes as discussed in the Training Needs Analysis.
The intention of the video is to preview how the game would simulate experiential learning for the training audience. By placing the trainees within different roles contextually, the audience member can react, participate and engage with the learning object.
The first task was to research the scope of the project to complete a Training Needs Analysis. The Training Needs Analysis contains the initial sketches of the proposed training assets: an interactive infographic, a 2-minute instructional video, and a plan for a game assessment.
