The Great War and the Arts
The final iteration of the interactive PDF is shown below in this video. It incorporates my own research on the Great War (World War I). We were given the opportunity to customize the infographic with a topic of our choosing and I chose to focus on how the arts was effected by the war.
The first image shows a customized point of interactivity that I added regarding the two competing alliances that fought one another. I added information on when the power entered the way, who was the leader during the time, a quick, fun, and memorable fact about that country, and then showed a propaganda poster that illustrated the country's reaction to the war.

The next customization involved adding works of art from both sides of the war to showcase the visual impact of the conflict. Each work of art is labeled by the title of the work, artist, and year of creation to show the evolution of art during the war.

The final customization required that I edit the timeline at the bottom of the infographic to show a number of artists from different countries (some who were killed in battle) to show the impact of the war on the individual artist.
Each panel contains a portrait or self-portrait of the artist, when they were born and when they passed away, as well as two of their works of art. One work of art was created prior to the war, whereas the other was created during or in the aftermath of the Great War. The overall design concept of these panels was to replicate an art show in a warehouse so the background of each panel is a white brick facade.

Finally, this is the original infographic created from the tutorial available on Lynda.com. As shown below, each component is organized as a different layer, which allows the interactivity through Adobe Acrobat.
